G-Power has launched the new M3 GT2 R, a true Clubsport version of the BMW M3 which now delivers significantly more power and has a significant weight reduction, with a modified aerodynamic.
The base BMW M3 delivers a total of 420 horsepower, but now with some intensive work, G-Power managed to increase the car’s V-8 engine to 720 HP (530 kW) at 5,900 rpm and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) at 5,900 rpm.
G-Power has created a package weighing less than 1,500 kg (3,306 lbs) which allows the M3 GT2 R to accelerate to 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.7 seconds and 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) in 9.5 seconds, with a top speed of more than 205 mph (330 km/h).
These impressive figures are achieved thanks to the use of forged pistons, new connecting rods and an SK III “Sporty Drive” supercharger system. The modified crankshaft increases the displacement by approximately 15%, from 4.0-liters to 4.6-liters. A tailor-made cooling system increases the capacity of the oil and water cooling circuits. There is also a a titanium exhaust system specially made.
The G-Power M3 GT2 R is fitted with the G-Power Clubsport coil-over suspension and weight-optimized 20-inch G-Power Silverstone RS Forged wheels with Michelin Pilot Cup tires. Braking is done with the G-Power-ceramic brakes on the front and rear axle, which provide low-weight and reliable high-performance braking.
The interior is upgraded with an individual G-Power leather trim package. Leather and Alcantara applications give the sporty and spartan interior a touch of class and a luxurious feel. The interior is completed by a roll cage according that meets FIA standards.
