Morgan EV3 2017 Review

Taking its three wheeled motor legacy ahead with a new look and power, Morgan took the curtains off its Morgan EV3 2017. Keeping its distinct trend alive even after more than a decade, they came with this all-electric three-wheeler. Featuring a redesigned body that hides beneath an excellent range performance the model is speculated to gain commendable eyeballs. Let us have a look at the review of Morgan EV3 2017 to know in detail about it.

SPECIFICATIONS

PERFORMANCE

  • Engine: 20 kWh lithium battery
  • Power: 62 hp
  • 0-62 mph: less than 9.0 seconds
  • Top speed: over 90 mph
  • Single charge limit: 150 miles

INTERIOR

The interior of Morgan EV3 2017 is a blend of traditions and today. Starting with the dash, we have a ‘magneto’ switch landing from the history. The intense work of wood, brass and polished aluminum details add remarkably to the looks. The steering wheel is as it is while the leather wrapped side panels feature aluminum inserts while the instrument gauges and the black panel with switches will remind you of the ages when cars were getting introduced. However the digital screen mounted and other features make the interior of Morgan EV3 2017 look modern side-by-side.

EXTERIOR

The exterior of Morgan EV3 2017 is miles ahead of the standard model. The change according to me is due the drivetrain change. At front you’ll notice that the engine is mounted on the front axle, right in front of the nose. The grille we had is now removed and the nose now has carved opening accommodating a headlight and cooling fins encasing the battery. Another distinct addition is the set of headlamps which is mounted close to the ground giving the entire model more conventional look. Looking at the sides the cylindrical side pods will steal your attention. Need to be mentioned that the model is the first from the house to use composite carbon panels to make hood, tonneau cover and side pods. The rest of the body uses aluminum panels. Thus rounding up the entire exterior details of Morgan EV3 2017 I would say, that even the changes made to this new model are added to keep the conventional looks. This indeed adds extra stars to it.

PERFORMANCE

As I mentioned earlier, beneath the hood of Morgan EV3 2017 is a 20 kWh lithium battery producing total output of 62 hp. The power production might be less, but for this 500 kg three-wheeler it is enough to take it from 0-62 mph in less than nine seconds and the top speed of Morgan EV3 2017 can cross the 90 mph mark. Another heart-stealing figure is the single charge limit of the Morgan EV3 2017, which comes to 150 miles.
