G-Power BMW M3 E46 2012 Review

The M3 E46 debuted in October 2000 and is now considered a classic BMW. At the time it was introduced on the market, the engine found under its bonnet was the most powerful naturally aspired BMW engine, thus the M3 E46 became an icon in the automotive world. If you find the M3 E46 appealing but fear that it's not powerful enough in our days then don't worry because G Power now paid homage to the M3 E46 and revealed their latest tuning kit which makes the old E46 more powerful than the E90.

The M3 3.2 liter six-cylinder engine found in the G Power BMW M3 E46 2012 got a 106 HP and 70 lb-ft of torque increase thanks to an ASA T1-518 centrifugal supercharger. The 3.2 liter unit is now able to produce 444 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque, making the G Power go from 0 to 124 mph in 14.7 seconds. Furthermore the G Power M3 is now able to reach a top speed of 186 mph, 31 more than the standard M3 E46.

To cope with the raw power the tuning package includes upgraded brakes featuring 370 mm disks at the front, 342 mm disks at the rear and six-piston calipers.

Furthermore the G Power tuning package also include a set of 20-inch alloy wheels with 245/30, 285/25 Michelin Pilot Sport tires, adjustable coil-over suspension and a beefier exhaust system.

As far as pricing goes the G Power tuning package will set you back $9,280 (€7,000) for the performance upgrades, $5,862 (€4,422) for the new rims and Michelin Pilot Sport tires, $7,689 (€5800) for the front brakes and $5,117 (€3,860) for the rear brakes, bringing the entire tuning package to a total of $27,950 (€21.082).

So, there you have it. The G Power BMW M3 E46 2012 is basically more powerful than theM3 E90 which delivers 414 HP, 295 lb-ft of torque and a top speed of 155 mph.

In case you were excited by the limited edition E92 M3 GTS which boasted 444 horsepower and you were not able to get your hands on one of the 250 units produced (and already sold out), then G Power now gives you the chance to own a classical M3 alternative that interesting enough, produces the same amount of power as the 2009 limited edition.
