Who said wagons can't be fierce? Well, for those believing that nonsense, the German tuner Edo Competition revealed the C63 AMG T Model 2012, a tuned up C63 AMG Estate that offers the thrills of a supercar in the shell of a practical wagon.
The Edo Competition tuning package focuses mainly on boosting the performance of the already beefy AMG Estate, and it manages to boost the V8 engine at 600 horsepower and 501 lb-ft of torque. The result is a top speed of 343 km/h (214 mph) thanks to the lack of a limiter, and the acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds.
Edo Competition obtained this massive increase in power by offering new sport manifolds, Vmax abolishment, ECU recalibration, new air filters and a new high performance stainless steel exhaust system which includes a new sport catalytic converter, muffler and pipes. Furthermore, it features a butterfly valve that offers two settings, and can be controlled remotely with a push of a button.
On the exterior the tuning package offers a set of 19 inch wheels that can be custom-painted on request, with 235/35/R19 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires on the front and 265/30/R19 at the back.In addition, Edo Competition enables you to customize the exterior styling to a certain degree, by using special foil wrapping technology available in any color.
On the interior the C63 AMG T-Model gives the freedom of individualized customization using high quality metal or carbon fiber inserts, leather, fine woods and cloth. The number of customization options is quite staggering, as you can pretty much personalize the center console, seats, dashboard, steering wheel and pedals.
As far as pricing goes, Edo Competition has not revealed anything just yet, but by the looks of it the C63 AMG T-Model 2012 might worth every penny, because very rarely you get to see a full-fledged tuning company taking a wagon to the drawing board, and giving it a fresh new look and a magnificent boost in power.
