i10 IS HOTTEST IN THE CITY

  • i10 scoops ‘Best City Car’ award at the Auto Express New Car Awards
  • Praised for grown-up dynamics, engine and generous specification

Britain's biggest selling weekly motoring magazine - Auto Express has awarded the Hyundai i10 the prize for Best City Car at the Auto Express New Car Awards 2010.

The i10 has been a massive hit for Hyundai, playing a huge part in its unprecedented sales success in 2009. And this is not the first time that the little city car has received high praise, in 2009 Auto Express awarded the i10 Best City Car at its Used Car Awards.

Editor of Auto Express, David Johns, explained why the i10 was chosen: “Few small models have such a big-car feel inside, and the grown-up dynamics make this one city car you won’t mind taking on long trips.

“Equipment is typically generous and you get the reassurance of the Korean brand’s brilliant five-year warranty.”

Hyundai’s Managing Director, Tony Whitehorn, said: “The Hyundai i10 is a firm favourite among British motorists and it has now received the recognition it deserves from industry experts.”

Prices for the i10 start at £7,725. The 1.2-litre manual engine offers economy of 57.6 mpg and emissions of just 119g/km.
