In the early 1960, when automotive market was looking ahead to future perspectives with its new designs, there were numerous designs that were drafted and remained on paper. Out of them one was work of Vince Gardener and built by the Ford supplier Dearborn Steel Tubing. The model was prepared as a single piece to present at a custom car show but there it met Bill Snyder from Hudson, Ohio.
EXTERIOR
Ford Mustang Shorty 1964 is extremely gorgeous and sporty from its exterior. Starting with the front fascia of this two-seater model you have a rectangular grille featuring running horse in between. Beside the grille are mounted two round shaped headlights on each side and beneath them separating the bumper is a stainless steel tube. Looking from the sides Ford Mustang Shorty looks aggressive with its bulky tires and raised body. Moving towards the rear fascia of Ford Mustang Shorty 1964 you have two exhaust tailpipes at each corner beneath the bumper. The same steel tube is also present in rear beneath taillights incorporated with brake lights and indicators. Door panels are mounted with traditional door and window opener, mounted over a steel frame while the rest of the part is created with perforated leather giving a soft feel to the sporty interior.
