As Ford is approaching the 50th anniversary of the Mustang on April 17, 2014, Ford has released some images of the 1966 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Concept which never made to a production model.
The 1966 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Concept was a two-seater with a chopped roof and the rear pillars featured a flip-open race-style gas cap. The flanks were larger-than life air scoops. The sloped rear end included a hatchback, a feature that wasn’t seen until the 1974 Mustang II.
