Mansory Carbonado Aventador LP700 4 2013 Review

Mansory has unveiled the customized program for the Lamborghini Aventador, called the Mansory Carbonado, at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

This carbon fiber-wrapped Aventador comes with some striking new components including: a new front skirt featuring redesigned air intakes, new front spoiler, a new front wing and bonnet, replacement of the roof and engine compartment cover by all-carbon elements and proprietary developed daytime running lights. On seeing you could almost say it justifies the “stealth” description.

The Lamborghini refinement program finds a perfect fulfillment in the extensive interior applications. The processed leather used for the seats as well as the dashboard is particularly durable yet still extraordinarily soft. It also gets newly designed sports steering wheel with airbag, non-slip aluminium pedals as well as genuine carbon fibre components are used on the doors, the fittings and the centre console. The aircraft-style starter button has been relocated from the center console to the roof.

Mansory has completely reworked the 6.5-litre V12 engine by fitting it with two Mansory turbochargers. The pistons, connecting rods, rod bearings, crankshaft, crank and cylinder head have been replaced by motor racing parts and now meet the high demands of Kourosh Mansory. There is also a newly designed exhaust system with stainless steel tailpipes, which give superior performance characteristics. All this changes have enabled the engine to achieves an impressive output of 1250 hp (920 kW) instead of 700 hp (515 kW), while the maximum electronically-limited torque increases to 690 Nm.

The Carbonado gets the perfect wheel-tyre combination. Mansory has built ultralight striking forged rims with carbon fibre inlays with 9.0 x 20 and 13.0 x 21 dimensions with Pirelli P ZERO tyres inVA 255/30 ZR20 and HA 345/25 ZR21 sizes.

As a result of these tweaks, the bi-turbo twelve-cylinder accelerates from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a breathtaking 2.6 seconds. The top speed is 380 km/h (217 mph) which is also significantly higher than with the base vehicle.
