Mercedes-Benz tuning specialist Carlsson will reveal its latest tuning program for the B-Class at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Usually Carlsson is known for upgrading some of the most high-performance sports cars but this time it turned on to something a litter smaller and economical.
The aerodynamic styling from Carlsson makes performance look great. The aerodynamic styling kit includes a front spoiler for a more dynamic face, sculpted side sills, a new rear apron with integrated diffuser flanked by cut-outs for two pairs of rear exhaust outlets, a large roof spoiler and Titanium or Diamond Edition alloy wheels with high-performance tires from Dunlop or Vredestein.
On the interior Carlsson offers carpet mats, alloy pedal set and door pins. On Customers requirement the Carlsson can deliver bespoke leather upholstery and wood or carbon-fibre trim.
On the performance side the B-Class four-cylinder petrol engines get a power boost via a simple ECU remapping. The B250 jumps from 211 hp to 253 hp, while the B200 goes from 156 to 187hp, and the entry-level B180 achieves 146hp, up from 122hp. Along with the power boost the Carlsson CB kits continue to meet the Euro 5 and Euro 6 emissions standards.
