Tuning enthusiasts now have a brand new machine to admire, this time, or should I say "once again" from the famous tuning company AC Schnitzer. Their latest creation focuses on bringing the BMW 6-series Gran Coupe 2012 to new levels of performance and perfection.
In terms of engine power alone, the AC Schnitzer four-door coupe will now develop 360 HP instead of 313 you'd normally get from a 640d, and from 320 to 360 in the 640i. As expected however, the tuning company did not stopped there and the modified Gran Coupe also benefits from a new set of "Sports Trim" tailpipes that provide a new soundtrack, perfectly matching the car's enhanced exterior.
In true AC S. fashion acceleration is not everything so the 6-series has been equipped with a brand new set high performance brake system in the front, consisting in a couple of 8-piston fixed calipers, and two 8-piece sets of brake pads and brake caliper holders.
In addition, the suspension system has been revised and the new spring kit further improves the handling and dynamics of the car.
On the exterior AC Schnitzer has fitted the Gran Coupe with a new front spoiler, a new front grille featuring chrome elements, a rear skirt extension and rear skirt protective film. It's nothing too excessive; in fact it's the exact right amount of tuning for the Gran Coupeto look even more aggressive and imposing without overdoing it.
As far as the wheels go, three different choices are given by the tuner, including Type IV BiColor, Type IV Silver and Type VIII BiColor. Sizes differ from 19 to 20 inches depending on the model.
The tuning company left its fingerprint on the interior as well, with "Black Line" aluminum cover for the i-Drive system controller, velour floor mats and aluminum pedals and footrests. As with the exterior, the modifications brought on the inside are just the right amount in order to give the Gran Coupe 2012 a feeling of exclusivity, and nothing more.
With the AC Schnitzer tuning package on the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe 2012, the competition between the Bavarian four-door coupe and the 2012 Audi A7 or the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class has become even fiercer. Which one would you rather choose?
