Seat Leon ST 2014 Review

Seat has revealed the details of the Seat Leon ST, a sporty and practical compact estate car which will premiere at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The Leon ST is the next member of the Seat Leon family after the all-new Leon five-door hatchback which was launched last year and a sleeker three-door coupe launched a few months ago with the SC model. The Seat Leon ST will provide a cargo capacity of 587 liters with the seat backrests folded. It is a little less than the Golf and the Octavia Combi, but more than similar offerings from Hyundai and Kia.

The much applauded design language of the Leon range has been further accentuated for the ST. The estate also features the same sharp lines and precise edges that communicate energy and vitality. The technical elegance of the SEAT Leon ST is further accentuated by the optional full-LED headlamps in combination with LED rear lights.

Engine lineup is largely similar to that of the Leon and Leon SC. So available will be TSIs from a 1.2-liter with 86 HP (63 kW) to a 1.8-liter developing 180 HP (132 kW). Diesel offering will include a 1.6-liter TDI with 90 HP (66 kW) and 105 HP (77 kW), together with a 2.0-liter TDI offering with 150 HP (110 kW) and 184 HP (135 kW). 4Motion all-wheel drive and DSG transmissions will be introduced as well.
