Renault have decided to introduce a new low-priced Extreme trim level model for the Megane series. The new hatchback will be priced from £13,250 and it will have two engine options, a 100-hp 1.6-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre 86-hp dCi diesel unit.
Expect standard equipment which includes a 4×15W radio RDS CD MP3 system, air conditioning, ESP and front electric windows.

Renault has boosted the appeal of its five-door New Mégane Hatch range with the launch of an all-new Extreme trim level, priced from £13,250.
With value-for-money key to every major purchase in the current economic climate, the two new Extreme models - 1.6 100 and 1.5 dCi 86 – offer a well-equipped entry-point to the New Mégane range in a frugal, refined and stylish package.
Budget-conscious buyers opting for either Extreme model will not be disappointed by the generous level of equipment on offer either, with a 4x15W radio RDS CD MP3 system, air conditioning, ESP and front electric windows all standard. Notably, the chic French newcomer undercuts its significantly lesser-powered rival, the five-door Ford Focus Studio 1.4 Duratec 80PS by a considerable £1,540* (£14,790 OTR), not to mention Volkswagen's New Golf S 5 door 1.6 102PS by £1,825* (£15,075 OTR).
Available to order from May, New Mégane Hatch Extreme is set to launch in UK showrooms in June.
