Mercedes-Benz C-Class 2015 Review

Mercedes-Benz has released details of the 2015 C-Class which is expected to make its debut at the 2014 Detroit Motor Show in January.

The interior design of the future C-Class comes across as clear, sensual and with a host of new unusual styling features.

The new styling features include a completely reinterpreted centre console, 7-inch free-standing central display as standard, touchpad, an optional 8.4-inch color monitor, an optional head-up display and a touch-controlled pad.

The new C-Class is the only vehicle in the segment to offer an air condition system including automatic air recirculation with tunnel detection using satellite navigation.

The new C-Class Saloon is fitted as standard with a steel suspension, it is the first vehicle in this segment that can be fitted with an air suspension (AIRMATIC) on the front and rear axles. It offers outstanding road roar and tyre vibration characteristics and the choice of different damper characteristics.

In the U.S., the C will come in two versions. One is the C300 4MATIC, which will have a 2-liter turbocharged direct-injection in-line four -cylinder engine producing 235bhp and 273 lb-ft of torque. The other is the C400 4MATIC with a 3-liter, turbocharged, direct-injection V-6 which produces 329bhp and 354 lb-ft of torque. Both engines use direct injection in addition to turbocharging, and both are paired to a 7G-Tronic Plus seven-speed automatic transmission. Mercedes' 4Matic all-wheel-drive system is standard.
