Lexus has released the official images of the all-new 2014 Lexus IS ahead of its debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, next week. Lexus IS will be the first model in U.S. to offer subscription-free traffic and weather updates as per the announcement made at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Lexus IS will be powerful and having elegant exterior styling and a cabin that is more spacious and driver-focused. The new IS is inspired by Lexus’s LF-CC concept and displays its own interpretation of the spindle front grille arrangement that has become a hallmark of all new Lexus models.
Lexus IS is expected to be launched with a choice of two V6 units, a 2.5-liter and a stronger 3.5-liter, with a four-cylinder hybrid powerplant to be added in the near future. The 2.5-liter V-6 is rated at roughly 200 horsepower and the IS 350 getting the 306-horsepower.
2014 Lexus IS will be displayed in showrooms this summer, but meanwhile stay tuned for its debut in Detroit on January 15.
