BMW M5 2014 Review

BMW has made significant changes to enhance the enjoyment of superior driving experience to the M5 2014. The brand will offer an optional Competition package that reinforces the M5's position as the purest among high-performance sedans.

On the exterior it gets a striking appearance from the M “kidney grille”, xenon headlights and new-designed tail lights with strikingly thin LED light strips. It comes with a range of new exterior colours - Pure Metal Silver, Pyrite Brown metallic, Frozen Blue metallic and further BMW Individual matt paintwork finishes.

The interior gets a new M leather steering wheel, Control Display featuring chrome trim on the sides, an optional Touch Controller with a touch-sensitive surface and ConnectedDrive ensuring intelligent connectivity. The glare-free High Beam Assistant is also optionally available with the Lane Change Warning system used from a speed of 20 km/h (12.4 mph).

The BMW M5 is powered by the 4.4-litre V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology producing 560 hp (412 kW). With the Competition Package, the output of the high-revving V8 engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology is raised by 11 kW to 423 kW/575 hp. The newly developed M carbon ceramic brakes are available as an option.
