BMW 750Li 2013 Review

The BMW 7-Series is one of the most luxurious sedans money can buy, and the Bavarian automaker intends to keep it that way with the 2013 model as well. The BMW 750Li 2013 is built to meet even the most demanding market and features striking, elegant design alongside state-of-the-art technology.

Although the more powerful 760Li engine is still powered by the 6.0 liter V12 unit able to produce 544 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, the 2013 7-Series introduces a revised V8 powerplant for the750Li variant. The new 4.4 liter V8 variant now produces 400 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. We should also mention that the 750Li expected to hit the Chinese market will be motivated by a 4 liter engine producing 408 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque.

The terms of transmission the 750Li Sedan is equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission that sends the engine power to the back wheels, as for the 750Li xDrivevariant the same 6-speed gearbox motivates all four wheels. In addition, four-wheel steering is offered for the latest 7-Series as an optional extra.

Although the BMW 750Li 2013 offers the highest degree of luxury to its driver and passengers, the latest 7-Series has been built with pedestrian safety in mind as well. The latest model comes with a new night vision system able to detect human presence in front of the car and display a warning symbol on the dash. What's more intriguing about the system is that it manages to make the difference between the pedestrians on the sidewalk and those on the road.

Other features include a lane departure warning system which warns the driver by making the steering wheel vibrate, a speed limit sign reading system able to warn the driver whenever he exceeds the speed limit on a particular road, and a safety system which detects the road condition and warns the driver to slow down accordingly.

Furthermore, the new 7-Series comes with dual front, side curtains and side airbags, as well as crash control sensors that automatically cut the fuel pump and the electricity in case of collision.

As far as pricing goes the rear-wheel drive 750Li 2013 has a base price of $88,200, whereas the xDrive base model will set you back $91,200, which puts it right between the $78,050 Audi A8 and the $94,500 Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
