This shiftknob made by GasLock is pretty original. It can be programmed to display which gear you're in using a small LED pattern built into the knob. It comes in blue or red, and seems to be pretty easy to install. However, the $169 pricetag needs to die. If you REALLY need to know what gear you're in, you can pick one up at TMTuning.
