With the fifth model generation of the legendary Mustang, Ford started therevival of the "ponycars" named after it in 2004 – achieving a great hit atonce with the powerful and comparably cost-efficient sports car. Obviouslyanimated by the great success of the Mustang quoting the 1960s design,other US manufacturer followed suit and revived the old Mustang rivals aswell with the Dodge Challenger (2008) and Chevrolet Camaro (2009).
