Mansory Ferrari 458 Spider Limited Monaco Edition 2012 Review

When you think about Mansory it's likely that the first thing that pops in your mind is extreme tuning. Well, that's not far from reality as the Mansory portfolio consists in eccentric cars such as the Mansory Veyron and the Mansory Panamera. Well, get a hold of this: the tuning company has recently revealed their Mansory Ferrari 458 Spider Limited Monaco Edition 2012, but before all you Ferrari enthusiasts out there put your worried faces on, the good news is that the Mansory Ferrari does not come with gold inserts or a silly color scheme.

First, let's take a look under the bonnet, where Mansory has optimized the 458 Spider 4.5 liter V8 engine management system and also fitted it with a sports air filter and a sports exhaust system. The results are 590 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, a 0-62 mph time of 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 205 miles per hour which makes it 7 mph faster than the standard 458 Spider.

On the exterior the Mansory Ferrari 458 has undergone some notable changes including a new bonnet that gives the car a more aggressive look, new side sills and side skirts with optimized air intakes. Furthermore, carbon fiber parts including a diffuser, a rear wing and a rear skirt are now part of the package that gives the Ferrari 458 Spider a fiercer look, but most importantly the carbon fiber elements have made the car roughly 60 kilograms lighter.

Other features consist in a new set of sports shock absorbers that lower the car by 20 mm, and a set of forged 20 inches rims with central locking on the front and 21 inches rims at the rear.

The interior has also been modified to some extent and you'll now get Alcantra leather and hand-stitched upholstery, a new sports steering wheel, aluminum pedals and carbon fiber elements painted in Monaco red which creates a contrast with the white highlights.

Overall, the latest Mansory creation is not as extreme as what we've seen in the past, but that's definitely a good thing. Just imagine a 458 Spider painted blue with yellow rims, and gold door handles.

As far as pricing goes Mansory has not yet revealed any information, but we do know that only three Mansory Ferrari 458 Spider Monaco Edition will be built and sold, so we expect them to have a very high price tag.
