What I don't get is that you can clearly see the ice melting a few meters ahead of where the car is... why would you be out driving on a lake that you know is partly melted already? Just sounds like a stupid idea to me.

Reminds me of that James Bond movie that came out a year ago, though.

You mean the stupid ice palace seen? That was probably the corniest thing I've ever seen involving James Bond since Sean Connery quit doing it. I mean, that was really corny looking. (please note I didn't actually see the movie)

I remember seeing that scene over and over and over again on TV. I even watched a little mini-documentary about that scene somewhere. I know that scene quite well; I just haven't seen the movie in its entirety.
