Check on WorldCarFans.com and saw the new 7 series featured there. I honestly have to say that I think I prefer the looks of the first one to this one. Maybe it's just because I got used to the other, but this one looks weird to me for some reason. It has some new stuff, here's a quick list:
- All-new V8 engine
- Improved performance
- Refinement of the outstanding chassis and suspension
- Refinement in design
- New equipment and features
Anyways, here are some pics of it as well as the link to the article:

Its an improvement, but still ugly.

Yes indeed , the uglyness was toned down a little , but I would still get a S-Class anyday . And wtf is up with those rims ?

The ass is still horrible though. It looks like you're seeing it through a magnifying glass.

It looks like they've gone a step backward towards the last designs. This is what I would have expected to lead on from the previous wave of BMW designs.

It looks chop-esque.
And what's with this "new V8" stuff? BMW just developed the 4.4 Valvetronic a few years ago, it's not like it's really READY to be replaced.

As far as I know the new V8 is for the 750i(iL). If you read the article at the very beginning they say that's it's a 4.8l V8 putting out 360hp and 360lb-ft. And it does the 0-60 in 5.8s...

EWWW! it's fucking worse!
and they made it look cheap! looks like a stretched 3 Series!

i agree with renesis. I actually didnt have much against the late model 7, i kind of liked how distinctly it was among its other numbered brethren. This looks more economy than a 7 should. I especially dont like what theyve done to the back, at a quick glance it almost looks like someone left the trunk popped.

I've been looking through some pictures of it, and although I don't care for this newer one as much, I think that it looks alright in this picture actually. And I also hate those rims on the 750i in the pics above.

Regardless, I don't think the topic / pics were posted on DS before.
I think the rear-end looks so much better now. It no longer looks awkward.
Love those rims too.

i think it looks wayy better than the current model. I think BMW is getting back on the right track or atleast trying to

I noticed that one of the images shows some brightwork running horizontally on the trunklid area. Then there is another pic where it is blacked out. Personally, I think it looks better with the bright trim.
Here's the back end of the previous model (for comparison purposes):

I don't think it's improved at all...instead of removing the ugly, or adding beauty, they resculpted the ugly...if that makes sense.
They just took something ugly and made it different, but ugly.

The only one I like is the 5-series and the M5. I hate the rest of his work. They're just ugly. So ugly. Oh, and the Z car. I like that.

The front of the new 7 doesn't look to bad, but I didn't hate the old one, either. The new back looks really bad, really really really bad.
