I heard the game is only going to feature AMC Pacers. Apparently Mr.Yamauchi drove one a few months ago and was so impressed he told his staff to remove all the other cars from the game and only have the Pacer. Mr.Yamauchi was quoted as saying "the AMC Pacer is the best damn car that has ever been built, I hope that by showcasing this car in the most popular game of all time will raise it to the forefront and be honoured as it should". Rumor has it NISMO has been developing some modifications for the car but it is believed Mr.Yamauchi doesn't want to contaminate what he sees as automotive perfection.

I guess he will have to change it in like 3 years when the next one come out!!


I heard the game is being released June-July sometime... it got pushed back from January.

Sucks.. but I am sure it will be worth the wait...

There will be no Ferrari or Porsche cars in the game since they have exclusive contracts with other software vendors.

MrBoost is right in that Pontiac stole the GTO name from Ferrari. And as far as I know there is no such thing as a Honda type-rx. Type-R yes, but no rx. A few years ago Suzuki tried to use GTI but were sued by Volkswagen (who won) so they had to rename it just GT.

I did a few searches and there appears to have been a type-r.x, I don't think it would be classified as an infraction on Mazdas brand since it's just an extension of the model name (integra, civic), not actually a model. The name would fit in with BMW 325ix, Saab 9-2x, etc.

Anyway back to the topic, I heard Gran Turismo 4 was coming out in January but its been delayed until May now!

Well there was a confusion. Gran Turismo 4 "Prologue" did come out in January. It came out in Japan and a few other countries. It is a teaser of GT4.

The real version will be coming out World Wide in May..



I already had mine on order since November!!!

I knew about the Prologue version out in various parts, but I read in a magazine that it would be out in January the didn't hear anything about that again.

I dunno why your all slating the GT3 physics they were good, except for handbrake manouevers. Anyway I've heard they've got a new physics engine for the game.
