really not a fan of the wheels...they don't fill out the wheel wells properly. Kinda ruins the whole look of the car for me.

A lowering and bigger wheels would do nice, but everything else... drool

I really like it, lowering and bigger wheels will make it look even better. At first, I didn't really like the new A4 design, liked the current one better, but the new one is starting to grow on me.

Poseur car.
Who the hell would be a poser with an A4? It isn't nearly flashy enough.

The DTM racing is some of the most insane in the world and this car has NOTHING to do with it and it even has less HP than the TT.
This car is for poseurs.

but the thing is that it doesn't look like a DTM car, it's just a special edition. It's not like Audi made it look exactly like the DTM car then gave it the motor from a pencil sharpener.

Dec 2 2004, 02:22 PM
Its the simple fact that its not an RS4 or even an S4 its just a normal Audi A4 with a few GM SS-type differences.
clarkma5
Dec 2 2004, 02:23 PM
hardly; GM sticks a couple badges on a car and calls it an SS. This has more power, stiffer suspension, and unique styling...it's a genuinely unqiue variant of the A4 range.
If you think all special editions should be RADICALLY different than the car they're based on, then that's your own problem.

I just think they should have saved the DTM badge for a car that was actually worthy of it.

It's an A4 DTM Edition, not an A4 DTM. It's a roadcar built to acknowledge the race series, not to actually race.
It makes sense to ME anyway.

Is anyone with me on this? Is it proper to commemerate a racing series with a gussied up pedestrian car or would an RS4 DTM Edition with more power and tarted up bodywork have been far far far better?

Dec 2 2004, 02:38 PM
Well, you know what kinda of answer you're gonna get; hell, I'd rather have the RS4 thingy.
But that still doesn't make this car BAD or IMPROPER.

What's wrong with R32ish rims? I like the R32's rims, and I think they look good on this car, too.

This car is still a nice car, but your right, they shouldn't have named it after the DTM series.

Mmmm... RS4 with DTM styling.. drool
But i can see your point, when i hear the name A4 DTM Edition, i immediatly thinks wide-body kit and high perfomance engine.
