this car was test driven on one of the episodes of 'top gear' which is part of viperbond's collection. the brits just thrashed the car so bad if u are a big corvette fan you will be depressed at the end of the show. its a nice looking car i must say. and the motor specs !!!

Seen it now, can't see too much detail, but it looks slightly better than the C6 with the wider arches.

Wow those rear wheels are huge. Oh well its still a vette. Viper > vette always and forever. Even if its numbers end up being better than the viper ill still prefer the viper. The viper will always be a step above the vette because it is at a higher price. This allows it to be more rarer. Hell the vette is accessible to almost everyone so there are tons more on the road. Also almost all viper owners mod their cars where as vette owners dont.

but its just my opinion that the viper is better.

the reason people hate the vette isn't because its the "american icon" (which could be argued) its because there are definite flaws in the car that are always overlooked by fanboys like yourself.

Anyway, The Corvette By far is the only thing Chevy is doing right these days, and even then, they can't get it completely right. The point is that for it to be an (relatively) Cheap ultra-competitive car in the market, of course they will have to comprimise many features, and I recognize all of them, and still I love it....

If youv'e seen the pictures- I don't understand, how they say that just seeing a 7.0 Block in the CTS-V race car proves that it will be ion the Z06. Maybe the Chevy Race team just wanted to try the C5-R block for a while... (as much as I would love to see the 7.0 in the Z06)

That's what I was trying to ask, that supposedly, because the 7.0 was photographed inside a CTSV Race Car, that proves It will be in the next Z06.

Can't tell much with all that crap on it, but it looks like it'll be better than the C6. Oh, and I wanted to add that the lights aren't any different RJ, it's just the cover...it wouldn't make sense to change them... And the only difference from this picture is pretty much that the rear got a bit wider...

Well, the inside fo the lights are black now, so there is a difference, albeit a small one.

Yea, some of the newer pics also show twins!! There's two of them... A 2,900 lb. car with 500 HP... I expect:

0-60: 3.4-3.6 seconds
1/4 Mile: 11.3-11.8 seconds
Top Speed: At least 205 MPH. (Corvette executive said the base C6 could do 190 with front taped and mirrors folded in. The Z06 will top that easily [Almost 100 more hp!])
