isn't it wiser to finance a car, and have your money work for you in other ways, then to pay in cash? and if so.. what about people who buy exotics? what would they do?
on one hand, it would seem silly to go through financing if you're that rich, but on the other hand, people who are that rich are usually smart about their money, so why would they go wasting it on paying in cash?
oh and on a side note, how much do you think you need to make a year, before you decide a Ferrari should be in your garage?

I would assume that somone that has enuff money to buy a Ferrari, probably has lot of other money working for them in lots of different ways, so to have their money workign for them on a car purchase wouldnt really matter ?
Although, my dad is such a guy, he would have his money working for him no matter what he bought. Too bad he doesnt believe in spending money on cars, he hates how many I have, considers it a waste.
Instead of buying the Cobra, he wanted me to buy a cheap truck and run it into the ground and then buy new again and repeat that process till the end of time.

$100k is too small. I used to make close to that and there is no way I could even consider buying Ferrari.
I would say a minimum of $300k

100k Is plenty if you don't have much overhead. Aka not in debt up to your eyeballs. If you don't have to shell out a whole lot each month for living then I think 100k a year would be plenty to buy a Ferrari on.

I would say that if you really go out and say "I'm gonna buy a Ferrari", you usualy don't really care how much you make, it just comes and you spend it.

you do need more than 100k...
unless your wife makes as much and uh... you want to share the Ferrari

I for one can vouch that most people with Ferraris that I've met usually dont own the car, it's on a finance plan. And at your side note, It's not a matter of how much you make, it's a matter of how much you want it.

Most of my friends who have bought Ferrari's from the Ferrari Quebec dealership use financing although there are the few who have paid in full cash. I had to pay cash for the C240.

I want a Ferrari insanely bad and I know there is no possible way I could ever afford one on my walmart salary.
Maybe I could possibly RENT a Ferrari for a day and drive it to work. Everybody would completely flip their shit lol

That can't be your permanent job? I mean you're probably young, just find your "job" and you'll be happy, it's not really about fast cars, well maybe it is" but if you really want to own a nice car go out and puruse something in the medical field.

Yeah. Having to pay your own way through school for the most part and stuff like that sucks ass. What I wouldn't give to just have like a new car given to me while in high school, college paid for, etc.
However, I wouldn't want my parents to be billion-rich as then I'd be spoiled and never get a job. I like that Bill Gates is capping how much $ his kids get.
And I know I'll get a Viper one day. I'll save all my money and buy cheap ass cars. One day, I swear...

I would say paying for it in cash, could save you money. As you'd prolly get a lot of dc (discount), paying for it in cash. cash money talks

actually, most car companies prefer to finance, busta, because they make more money on the deal overall (as long as you finance through their credit corporations). Well, then again, the dealer may or may not care about that...
Besides, you don't haggle with Ferrari. You buy their car, probably at sticker (or higher if it's a really desirable model) and that's the end of it. And although it is true that paying cash is cheaper, because there's no interest, if you finance, all the money you DON'T put down can sit in a bank account and earn you money! Enough to pay for the interest of the loan and more!
