Not these again!

This is one hot car! thumbs_up.gif

PAULIE_D
An incredible car and an incredible scanner (that PBB has). thumbs_up.gif

Now where's that link for the thread we started on this car several months ago ? ...
DakianDelomast
So redline was I right?
PBB
Hehe, actually that's a $115 scanner from BestBuy and I only scan at 400 dpi (the scanner could do as high as 3200 dpi.) 400dpi is a very good compromise between picture quality and file size.

My secret is an X-acto knife.
nismo
I LOVE IT. I want to put a northstar in my buick.....Hmmmm
DakianDelomast
Make a horrid handling car even worse. GOOD IDEA NISMO.

What do i care?
My car is at 166,500 miles (more or less )and im guessing that when it hits 166,666 i will die when it explodes anyways.
Cyclone
Nismo, the only thing you should do for your car is drop it off at the junkyard and buy something else.

Also, wait till the Northstar MR2 is finished and pwns this Golf biggrin.gif SCC is working on a story on it too
Dylan
Yay! I knew you'd come through tongue_orig.gif. Now all we need is some vids of this car.

i think you are right, because on the strut brace (or stress bar, whatever you call it) it says CWS Tuning, and i think thats the shop he talks about...
PBB
It's definitely the same owner and car, original thread here.
White RSX
Yes, you're correct, its a CWS Tuning Northstar Golf ( http://cwstuning.com/ ) CWS does some awesome swaps, B6T In a Festiva, Supra powered 5 series, etc. all of which are executed perfectly.

I'm not a big fan of the Golf or the Northstar motor but somehow putting them together is just so right. thumbs_up.gif

It actualy doesn't hinder the handling that bad. Sounds insane. Do the seats look familuar? When he got it first running and the brakes smoked after a run of bagging.

Check out http://www.cwstuning.com ... Cam recently had a real bad accident on a bike. Umm, he's the same guy that did a mazda 323 turbo engine in a Festiva. Same guy who put a beetle TDi into a MKII Jetta, same guy who has a Audi TT motor in his rabbit.

I should try to get him to post in here. I think he has a lot of people wantint to do the swap right now, but he cannot work untill the doctors say he can.

Pick up a wrecked Olds Aurora. I've seen then go for ~$1000 - $2000 on Ebay, and they have a nice 4.0 Northstar in them. It moves my 3600 lb Aurora nicely, it would redefine the term Torque Steer in your little Buick.

So how much did Cyclone have to pay to get you to post here? tongue_orig.gif

I would like to pick your brain a little over the swap though. Like how will an Mk1 MR-2 with a northstar compair to a fiero with an SBC installed?
RedLine
thumbs_up.gif It did 14.007 with his wife Kendal at the wheels and Cam as a passenger and all stereo equip still in the car. thumbs_up.gif

Cam can't drive until the Doctors okay him.
