I thought I'd start a thread dedicated to cars that are not available in your country (but probably should be).

Upload a small pic, provide a brief description or a link and mention the country / continent that the car is not available in.

Peugeot 206

The hot setup is the GTI 180 (shown here):

QUOTE
It has a 2.0 litre 16-valve four cylinder petrol engine which delivers 180 bhp at 7,000 rpm, a top speed of 143 mph*, and a 0-62 mph acceleration time of just 7.1 seconds*. Engine performance has been enhanced with VVT (variable valve timing), which ensures optimum engine torque is delivered through a wide engine speed range, for smooth driving around town and performance driving out on the open road.

Why dont we get the Peugeot 607 in the USA?? For aprox. $32,000, this thing would kill the Toyota Avalon, Maxima, and other low end lux's.

On a few recent episodes of Sports Car Revolution on SPEED, they featured a segment on the production process for the Noble M13 in South Africa. Very interesting.

Personally I'm not sure it'd sell that well but i think if offered in rather smaller numbers, with a good base price it has potential.

Why don't we get the Ford Mondeo in the US?? I actually hate Ford, but the Mondeo is a nice looking car. Looks luxurious inside. A luxury Ford?? who wouldv'e imagined?? (The GT is a sports car, not a luxury vehicle)

How hard would it be to import an R32 (or any US-only car, like MR2) to Canada? What's involved?

Refer to the Transport Canada's website: http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/importation/impusae.htm

The bad news : If a car was not originally manufactured to meet Canadian requirements and is less that 15 years old , then you are shit out of luck trying to import one. So this will make it impossible to import a late model R32 or MR2 from the U.S. to Canada.

Forrest, I check out every Holden I see nearly. I have NEVER seen a SS that colour! head.gif yuck!

Black Jack, thats the VX SS, a model superceded about 2 years ago. The VY SS is the model of Forrest's pic which in the next month or so is itself going to be superceded.

But, yes, I agree, all you other countries are missing out not getting Commodores tongue_orig.gif

has to be the Renault Vel Satis.

Imagine a huge luxury sedan, very refined and comfortable, super smooth ride... and one of the most unique shapes you'll ever see. This is super cool, who wouldn't take this over crap like a town car?

dukenukem
the velsatis is horrible to drive .... and apparently a super fop ... plus it has the F factor sick.gif
clarkma5
The VelSatis is ridiculously ugly, and you know it's built like every other damn Renault out there (i.e: poorly). That's one of the cars I'm glad hasn't made it over the pond.

How many Renault u've drivin' m8??

When I started this thread, I asked that when a car was posted , the poster should indicate what country / continent the car was "not available" in.

Maybe due to the high number of VW fanboys here. But imo the cool wall lacks logic. ex. the r32 poll: (as of time posted)

Ice cold: 11
Cool: 10
Uncool: 2
MJ Uncool: 4

Seems as though it would be cool based on the average of all votes. Not just which vote got highest.
clarkma5
Eh, but we don't do average...averages would change the cool wall around a lot for all the cars.
