I'm getting fucking SICK of wearing glasses. Plus I need a new prescription since my vision is getting worse. I'm wanting to get some contacts that I don't have to change much, that I can sleep in etc for at least a month at a time. I'm wondering though, what would the cost on these be excluding the eye exam? I don't have any insurance so I'd be paying for them out of pocket.

That would help me too. I'm also annoyed of wearing glasses. I don't know about the insurance thing for me.

why would u wanna go for contacts ....i prefer glasses over them anytime ...plus my prescription glasses only cost me about $ 20 ..including plastic super thin lenses and the frame

I think the extended wear ones can be had relatively cheap. Maybe around $30 for a box which would have enough to last you a while. You could even get them online.

I used to wear contacts until I started working a lot in the lab. The risk of getting chemicals in my eyes was too high and with contacts they'll hold the chemical against your eye longer. I'm trying to get a really geeky pair of glasses and Oakley used to make some but I can't find them on their site anymore.

The convenience of just taking the glasses off is really nice compared to taking out contacts. It's all personal preference though.
