I seen my first SRT-10 on the road today. Cool.
fallon
ooooooooo, i love it

Race cars aren't quite ricers. That's a non street legal Competition Coupé, that was used by this guy for a Drift Competition. It was his first ride in the car, and he won... Worked out the CC is an awesome drifter for some reason.

8300cc drifting?! @ @
dennis
8277... wink.gif But the car is also fast when driving "normal".

i think he was joking around with it being a ricer.

Hope so... Never know. I've seen guys posting pictures of a 360 Modena that was totally painted like a Challenge car, and saying it was a ricer... head.gif

Sorry, if it was a joke... wink.gif laugh.gif
White RSX
More of a mocking joke, since most people on the board think drifting is just "a ricer sport" rolleyes.gif
dennis
I totally disagree. You need at least RWD and lots of horse power... Most ricers lack both. wink.gif
White RSX
actually, the glory of it is that you dont need a ton of horsepower, you only need the skills to whip the ass out
dennis
Depends... Was on a challenge a few months ago. Some drifts work even with less horsepower, but the "real" powerslides are more what I'd call a drift...
Just whiping the ass out is more controled loosing controle of the car... laugh.gif tongue_orig.gif

dennis you are a retard and you understand nothing about proper drifting technique. Using the power of the car to slide is only one method of sliding the car and is about as impressive as using the E-Brake to break the back end loose.
BLacK FirE
im going to have to agree with dakian on this one. the whole point of drifing is about controlling the slide. If it depended on power last years d1 winner wouldn't have been a 170hp ae86.

You don't agree with me normally? sad.gif
BLacK FirE
i mean as opposed to agreeing with dennis that its all about power and shit0rz.

What looks more impressive, a car doing a smooth slide, controled by the gas through the whole corner, or short slip set off by the e-brake? At least for me it's the powerslide. No matter which technique might be harder to use...
FWD drifts aren't nice to look at (While drifting contests are all about this, what kinda woud be a reason to call them "rice"), and using the e-brake in RWD, AWD cars is unnecessarily when you know how to get the back in motion before a corner.

And don't start flaming because of stupid nonsense like that, ignorant. It works even without that.
DakianDelomast
I'm not talking about FWD drifts. And anyways you just have proven to me that you know nothing about drifting so you should stop now while you're ahead.
White RSX
am i the only one who didnt understand what dennis just referred to?
BLacK FirE
i think i know what he's talking about but doesn't matter, dakian's right. dennis keeps on showing he doesn't know too much about drifting, or what the object of it is.

I was reffering to this. And I personally don't think it is as impressive as a powerslide. And even when you were not talking about FWD cars, using the e-brake for drifting isn't as nice to look at, as when you're throwing the car in the opposite direction before you hit the corner.
That's my taste at least.
White RSX
what he's saying is that its not impressive to see the E-brake drift either, but its about the same as using massive amounts of power.
BLacK FirE
what u just described dennis, with throwing the car the opposite direction b4 the turn is called an inertia drift, and is very rarely used by pro drifters. so you are still showing you dont know much about the different techniques and everything that goes into drifting. I was able to drift my volvo without using the ebrake or inertia and it definatly was no powerslide i was doing, which isn't even a drift anyway. A powerslide is the rearend breaking lose at the end of the turn because of your power. a drift is when uve broken the rear end lose for the whole turn and slide from the entrance to the exit.
