I need a service manual for a 1999 Toyota Corolla.

I found this.

http://www.motorcyclebooks.com/toycorgeocpr.html

I am not sure if that is what I need though. Basically, I want to do the brakes by myself, since I have taken this vehicle to a shop several times and the brakes always go out within 6 months or so.

If the above link is not the correct manual, could someone please point me in the right direction, I am sick of getting screwed over by auto shops.

Thanks.

Haynes are alright but you would be better off just to go to your toyota dealership and ask parts for their service manual. They cost a LOT but they're straight from Toyota so they're always accurate.

Ok, thanks for the quick response.

Do you know of any online places to buy a manual that was written by Toyota??

$140 is alot more than I was looking to spend. It might be worth it though.

Yeah; service manuals are mightily expensive...my friend bought one from Nissan for his Maxima.

They are worth every penny for a beginning mechanic.
