I got a six month trial subscription of AutoWeek about 7 or eight months ago. I never sent them anymore money or have contacted them since. Since the "THIS IS YOUR LAST MAGAZINE UNLESS YOU RENEW NOW!!!!!111" edition came, I've recieved 5 more copies. I'm looking at the May 10th edition right now.
I'm not complaining and I'm sure as hell not going to say anything.
Maybe AutoWeek hopes I'll buy their magazines like I bought Road&Track. I'm subscribed to them through 2008.
I was talking to one of my employees about what car magazine he likes. He said he really liked it when he had a subscription to Super Stock. "Why don't you still have a subscription?" I asked. He explained that he bought a 3-year subscription from a company that sells magazine subscriptions. When he moved recently, something got messed and he's now receiving VIBE, the magazine for "Vibrant Young Blacks." He lost the contact info for the subscription company and he hasn't been able to to get the right magazine. So for the next two years, he's getting this in the mail:
