i got a new sandblaster... its fun

i used to have an old one that i sold when we moved, but i needed a good one again for control arms and most suspension and other mics. peices... so i picked up a pretty nice one. It works great.
(sorry for the big pics)

THIS IS A "BEFORE" OF THE CONTROL ARMS...

THIS IS AN "AFTER"...much better

there is an awesome product, that i will be painting the whole subframe/control arms, and other components with. For info on it, go to www.zerorust.com its a must for those of you who restore old cars... I payed $50 for a gallon

I used to snadblast everyday in a big cabinet, it was fun for like 5 minutes. The rest of the 9 hour days sucked. But yes, it would be very useful at home.

The other idiots I work with have a static discharge problem where when they touch their exposed arm to the side of the cabinet it shocks the wee out of them. I just laugh while I keep all my pieces at ground potential.
What kind of media do you use? Is it just sand? I've seen plastic beads, nut shells, and even glass used before. Not to sure of the advantages of one over another.

A friend of mine used POR:
http://www.por15.com/To paint various things. It's more expensive than $50/gallon, but I know it works super-well. We beat the crap out of some stuff he had painted, and it was unscathed.

i had to decide between ZeroRust and POR15... basically, POR15 = $40/quart and ZeroRust $50/gallon. and on some other forums, like www.nastyz28.com (where i heard about ZeroRust), they said they beat on the parts with a hammer and it would not chip... so i went with the cheaper one, and i hope it will hold up fine.

I jiust sandblasted my brothers aluminum controll arms (about twice the size of those), with a friends sandblaster, and loved it.
I could really use one of those.
What brand is it and how much did it cost you?
