So I bought a Digital8 camera and naturally I have to get videos of the MR2 in action. Here is the first of hopefully many videos I make with it. Nice having a high quality video camera now. The video is about 40mb and is high res so you may need a fast computer to view.

I got the video using my Chase Cam camera mount attached to my center storage box in the car. Unfortunately the storage box is made of plastic and doesnt support the weight of the camera too well so it wobbles a lot

I wish I could find some nice twisty roads that arent residential. I get so afraid I'm going to go flying around a corner and hit somebody checking their mail.

u have a really loud turn light indicator can u try and focus on the speedometer ?

I could imagine focusing on the speedometer would be quite boring for everybody to watch. And Clarkma was saying the same thing about my blinker being loud. I never really thought it was that bad O_o

My useless Two Cents:

You need to make the video more exciting. Assholes are exciting. You need to signal a lot less. You need to do a couple of burnouts, don't follow stop signs, and pass people on the wrong side of the lane. Then it'll be more exciting! Also, always drive fast when there are a lot of kids by. A nice touch to the end would be great if you ran away from the cops, or got cought by the police and was forced to turn off the camera.


Anyways, just joking, nice video. Car looks fun. You drive your car like you love it.

ill have to break out the camera sometime, the roads around here have been heavily sanded due to snow, but theres no snow left, so its basically a baja course around the neighborhood. makes for some very impressive turning take offs in the wrx. its a beautiful thing when that car is roaring at 6500 and im in a controlled 4 wheel drift down a suburban road!! a.k.a last night!

Yeah I wanna go autocrossing. I don't really have the time though because of work and school lately. I work full time and then after work I goto school. Hell, it's Saturday and I'm at school! I really only have 1 day off from everything and thats Wednesday. And then on Wednesday I jsut don't feel like doing anything in general.

I'd take that road a lot faster but the pavement isnt the best of quality (You can tell in few areas in the video) and I like I said, I really dont wanna nail some kid checking the mail or something. At my school right now though there is a road I found thats not too far from here that I will make a video of sometime soon. It has a lot of twisty roads and it's extremely long and scenic. When I was on it there wasnt a single car on the road but there are houses on both sides. But the visibility on the road is great! One of the sharp turns goes right beside a lake and has no guard rail. Maybe I should take my MR2 for a swim?! !!!

Cyclone, I have the following suggestions for your videos:

1) Use editing, along with different camera angles. Do more than just roll the camera while you drive.

2) Take a little more effort to do crazy things.

3) Find a better road that's long enough for a good video without ever having to turn off onto another road.

Sounds like you lost a lot of money in some of those turns.

im only on my learners permit and have to have a full licenced driver with me.. when im with my mum i floor it up to nearly 100kmh in a 50 zone.. my highest in a 50 zone is 95..
