this is my very first try what do u guys think i can do to improve this?

Nike SB'd
Roofline looks like shit and the shot is wayyyyy too distorted. Other than that it looks like a general properly exposed rig shot. The flash really only seems to have impacted the fender and headlight area though, not sure it was really worth it.

I like the added fill it's given the image, the roofline fading into oblivion wrecks it for me, the angle and distortion too are not the most flattering for the car but gives the shot a feeling of agression and "in your face" which lambo's certainly have.

Good work.

x2 for the roof and you have some dust spots on the bottom of the picture !

OK, who was moaning that DS has become less harsh with the C&C?

Not to butt heads, but i'll be sure to point out when your shots look like shit, and hope you don't get defensive over it.

There are better ways to saying something looks like shit. Give the guy some confidence, rather than just beating it down.

Honest C&C is fine, harsh C&C is not. There isn't a need for it.

looks like there is smoke coming from the top of the car, I like the gain in contrast and color you have in the edited version, but the roof line and the weird shadow on the passenger side of the front bumper in the front really bother me. The un-edited shot looks like it has very good potential though thumbs_up.gif

I won't - it's the internet, anyone who can't take it shouldn't be on there tongue.gif Furthermore if I EVER post a shot of a car where I took the blur tool to the roofline then added a gradient on top of that I would HOPE that you guys would tell me it looked like shit.

things I would fix:

roofline, I think it would look better if you smoothed it out so it fell off naturally instead of blowing out so harshly
front bumper, right under the drivers fender, you can still see some of the rig
black smudge on the opposite side of the front bumper, most likely an artifact from over sharpening or too much clarity
the small black spot that is the passenger side bumper grille... i know it "should" be there because thats how the car is, but because of the angle you chose you can BARELY see it, so instead of having a "random black spot" I would just remove it entirely
spot heal the dust spots and that lense flare... flare has a time and place, looks off in this image IMO

got a chance to retry a different shot and car. still hard and i didnt really do this very well.

This one is certainly an improvement over the lambo. The car is more lit and less distorted. I see an area just in front of the bumper that was either improperly masked from a different frame or a result of stopped motion from firing the flash while actually doing the rig shot. If this is the case in the future do all your lit sections static, then do the rig and layer them in PS. Since the flash is going to stop motion anyway there's really no reason to fire the strobes while the car is rolling. I'm still seeing a little fuzzyness on the roofline but it's less distracting than the first one. The only other nitpick is that the highlights are blown where you fired the flashes and the lit portion of the front door blends rather harshly into the ambient-lit rear door. Still this is a step in the right direction and the sky looks great.

Thanks this is totally new to me. My rig needs to be stronger because after flashing when doing the rolling shot the magic arm moves very slightly and it's hard to line up in ps any tips m tricks would be great
