Me again, as usual asking for advice, haha. Here's one shot from a recent shoot I did. I'm getting happier with how my shots look, but was wondering how you guys felt on this edit:

EDIT:

I lighted the car with a single Vivitar 285hv, multiple exposures. My main concern is the dropped in sky in the windows - we were on the tenth floor, so all we saw out the windows was sky, but IDK if this sky looks too fake or what.

More or less, tear it apart and let me know what could make it better. Thanks in advance. smile.gif

looks like the whole car could use a lot more light

i think if you brought the levels up on the car it would make the shot 10x better.

nice shot tho!

Thanks guys, I'll up the levels and see how it looks.

As above, and also I would straighten the image as having the windows on an angle is distracting for me.

Posted the edited version. Upped the levels on the car, lowered them on the background a tad, shrunk the clouds a bit to look [hopefully] more realistic, and cleaned up a few masking issues I missed on the first. Love how this one looks. LMK what you guys think now. smile.gif

It looks like the car was pasted into the location. shadows look off and there's a slight white glow around the car.. it's nice but it's not heavenly lol.

Ray,

As the other's mentioned the car needs a tad more light.

To me the darkening of the background while keeping the car Clorox white makes it look like a composite. The shadows are way to dark as well. The sky still doesn't look right to me.
One thing you can do is drop a photo filter in to warm up the car. You have a really warm sky with none of that transferring to the car.

Just my .02 though, its coming along quite nicely.

The first thing I notice is that in the edit, the front of the car in the white areas now looks flat or satin white while the rear of the car still retains it's gloss. I also notice the slope of the windows down to the left and the white halo around the car. It's a great idea though.
