Juha Kankkunen and his Gr.B beast was in Athens for the Athens Motorshow Live and performed a live show in the arena. I had the chance to shoot it in the garage after one of the shows. I think that I only like number 1 and 7 from the set and I believe that 2-3 should be in a completely black/darker background.

However I would love to hear any opinions/comments...

Also some pics from a A110 Alpine(I thought it would be more appropriate to post them here instead of opening another thread).

I really like the first and last shots, nice lighting and composition, really moody. I didn't know about the Alpine, cool car. You have horribly pixelated shadows.

The Delta shots are sex, but #10 just seems blurry.

1. Really nice lighting, but I wish you were dead center for the shot. These shots go from good to excellent based on that slight centering, IMO.

2-3. Need more diffused lighting, with 3 being the better of the two.

4. I love this shot, but his face is much to bright and looks fake. Tone it down and I think you have a great one.

5. Eh.

6. Loving these - what is your light setup?

7. Cool!

I usually use a Canon 580 flash and multiple shots but just for the Lancia I had two of them so I could work faster and with less photoshop. The flashes where either shot straight to the car or bounced through the surroundings. Especially about the detail shots no bouncing used, just direct flash.

About 1. I thought that it was straight since I centered the front cover of the car since I thought that it's the element that gets the most attention but if it bothered you then maybe a crop would help the image.

About the pixelated shadows/noise I only see it in 9. in front of the car, can you help me spot more?(Except 7 and 8 shot at 3200 ISO because of low ambient light)

woh, crazy spot to shoot from on #7

Yeah, I'm not talking about 7 and 8 or the two really bright shots. In pretty much all of the dark photos, in the shadows (most obvious on ceilings, walls, floors), the fine gradient is lost and it's just chunky. So yeah, under the front of the car in #9 and in the shadows in the background. Anyway, maybe it's just jpeg compression but high iso probably doesn't help. Is your monitor calibrated?
