this has captivated me, ive been reading it for about 20 minutes. pretty well written. im at :

Sept. 1, 2008. 3:36 p.m. Ian and his dad share some time at the PX at Fort Carson. “Basically I said two things to him,” Eric Fisher says. “No. 1‚ I said, ‘I want you to be careful all the time and trust your instincts.’ No. 2, I said‚ ‘If you’re going down, give ’em hell. Fire till your last breath.’ At that point he squeezed me‚ like‚ ‘I understand,’ you know. And we didn’t say anything else.”

Wow, that's an awesome blog and what a life that guy went through. At least he's still alive and married to a HOT HOT HOT girl, what more can he ask for?

That's pretty awesome. I spent some time going through it...reposted it on my FB.

The blog is very powerful. I must admit though, i was disgusted to see bar codes on the new soldiers. I realize that it is the most efficient way for tracking, but, still. They're people.

I don't know, it seems so produced, so photographized, almost like it was staged. It has no impact on me.

I have good friends in similar situations, been to Iraq etc. It matches up with people I know pretty well so I guess I'm more apt to be moved by it.

To me it seemed like the guy never knew what he was into. He enlisted and then pulled some stunts which nearly got him thrown out.
