QUOTE
Bob Griese, ESPN analyst and two-time Superbowl winning quarterback with the Miami Dolphins, has been suspended for one week following an inappropriate comment he made during a live college football broadcast last Saturday. After showing a graphic of the top five drivers currently vying for the points lead in NASCAR competition, Griese commented that Colombian driver Juan Pablo Montoya, who's not currently in the top five, was "out having a taco."
Shortly after making the remark, Griese apologized on air, and he did so again at the closing of the broadcast. According to ESPN, the college football analyst "understands the comment was inappropriate." For his part, Montoya didn't seem to rattled by the remark, responding that he had never heard of Griese in the first place.
Incidentally, the Ohio State Buckeyes went on to crush the Minnesota Golden Gophers 38-7.

Not really shocking, I just find it funny that a large part of the NASCAR world seems to think that anyone south of the USA is Mexican. This is just one example, but I have heard so many NASCAR fans call him a beaner, etc.
Also kind of funny that Mexican stereotypes cause the most outrage. I wonder what the reaction might have been if he said "He was off growing some coffee."
Oh well, another idiot gets what he deserves.
