Does anyone have more information on this car? It's so hawt!
Razor
Is that a modified 22b or am I off?
MustangAficionado
I've always had a soft spot (in my pants) for those years. Considered buying one instead of a truck, but knew I'd start modding it and then that'd be that.

Looks like a 2.5RS with flared wheel arches, sti wing and a FMIC and oil cooler.
Dr. Strangelove
Love the heat exchanger party.

I drove a STi swapped Imprezza from that gen. It was one of the best cars I have driven on the track.

There is somethin so appealing about subies, it seems they require so little work to be totally badass.

wait...how do empty aluminum cans have a sexual preference ?
BlackJack
God that is the sexiest 2.5RS I have ever seen! I was close to getting one a while ago, but it was out of my price range sad.gif

The car's got Canadian plates, you guys sure that isn't an actual STi? I can't imagine an RHD to LHD conversion is that hard on an Impreza.

Since when are driver side switches easy?
Dr. Strangelove
Yikes thats a long tube to fill. Not a fan of FMICs on Subarus.

My uncle used to own a dealership which would import over RHD versions of popular models, convert them to LHD and sell them here. He said with models where the LHD parts were readily available, it was relatively simple, and very easy to pass government safety regs.

That looks like a reversed intake manifold which is supposed to reduce the pipe length compared to original fitment!

It is simple but there would be alot of work to do it, the pedals have to be moved, which means the hydraulic lines for the brake and clutch need to be redone, the throttle would be easy though. The entire dash would need to be switched out and all the wiring would need to be routed to the other side. I think the hardest part would be the steering. You would need to get the front steering system from a LHD car, and there is a good chance that there would a shitload of stuff in the way of the steering shaft, since your trying to fit it where is wasn't designed, exhaust components, cooling etc. I think it would be a nightmare to do myself...

Looks sexy. BC plates...Probably from Surrey or Richmond...

Why do these cars always have to be molested? Why? Can't someone just leave a Subaru standard for once.
Diesel
sure.. there are thousands of standard ones out there. i don't mind seeing some highly modified like this one.

Here's the build process of the car. Looked incredible beforehand! http://thecarpark.wordpress.com/2009/08/08/the-lol-car/
