Pics or it didn't happen.

You should've climbed onto the roof with a chair and popcorn and watch the show. biggrin.gif

I'm sure someone in your neighbourhood is going to try and sue them for noise pollution.

I live next to Miramar marine air base. If someone did that they'd get patriotically raped here.

I've had the pleasure of seeing the Blue Angels at Moffett field a few times, they are damned impressive.

You point lasers at them and then some other F-18s will point lasers at yo face. Now THAT i would love to see.

I was gonna make a remark about how I read that as blue angles (geometry) are flying over your house and that's why I clicked here.

But you did in fact, spell it angles, heh.

I don't think they will point lasers....as much as they will point fiery missiles of death.

Laser Guided Ordinance.
Vadvagool
True. But I thought they were infrared lasers?

If you live around MCAS Miramar, get used to it. After living in Mira Mesa for 8 years it got boring. It's cool they are back this year though, last year they had the Air Force show team. I also hear they have some cannuck's pilots in the air this year flying CL-41 Tutor training planes and a civilian team called the Patriots flying L-39s.

I used to sit on my parent's roof and watch the Airshow in the mid afternoons. When I was a senior in high school some friends and I drove up to an open field in Miramar and watched them perform on the military only Friday demonstration. Another time we went up Mt Soledad to watch the night display. But you live in University City which is directly west of one of the runways there.

Where you around when the pilot ejected from his plan which crashed into the house?
MustangAficionado
How did you know I was in UTC?
Yeah, i saw all the smoke and heard the boom.
SwissWhiskey
Most teams that fly L39 are boring as shit.

The Blue's often touch wingtips in the air. No other team flies that close in formation.

Are you talking about the snowbirds?

We have the Canadian "air command" here in Winnipeg, and F18s fly around here occasionally. Holy shit are they loud, and that's part throttle. They must have been defining that close to your house at full throttle.
SwissWhiskey
You canadian's got a pretty neat Hornet demo program:

The angle of the your photo to the loop. We can come to sound and logical conclusions thanks to the ability we have to augment and compound sense information with prior experience. I've never seen the loops not go east -> west towards University city. Plus you have a thread about your 'stang in the "user's rides" section and I knew the street you where driving down and the on-ramp you took onto the northbound I-5 towards La Jolla Village drive where you exited.
In 2005 I watched Blue Angels after a shift when I was working at the La Jolla Marriot. I got a coworker of mine to open the roof access and I sat up there and watched them.

Did you know the community to live in was founded because the people who lived in La Jolla didn't want minority servants and Jews living in their community?

Yeah I am talking about the Snowbirds. Are they any good?

They've been having the airshow here for years. I can't remember a time when they didn't have it. If someone were to sue, I'm sure it would've happened already.

I don't have anything to back this up, but I am told they are one of the best display teams in the world.

I have seen them a couple of times, and they are pretty fucking impressive.

It's weird that you would expect him to know that, thats some sherlock holmes shit. "its elementary watson, the planes always loop in an east west direction"

As I've said, I've seen these airshows every year since 1997. They go east to west or west to east along that runway at the airbase which all the event goers are line up along. I see all and know all. smile.gif
