That's not baby blue, but laguna seca blue.
In fact, one of the best colors that ever came out of the bmw factory. Plus that car has a ton of mods and is an s54... which makes it a super pricey example.

Its because most beemer colors are boring as hell, so atleast let us get exited about a few. L-S blue only looks good on the E46 M3, evergreen looks like shit. The Z3 coupe in the original post aint bad looking in that green though.

That green is too turquoise for me. I'd only ever get a car in green if it was British Racing Green or Krypton Green (think Lotus). It does go well with the car though.

There's the $2-5 a pound graphite and there's the $250,000,000 per square inch graphite.

That's a question of quality of alignment between the carbon sheets and the purity of the material...fundamentally, all graphite is graphite.

Quality of alignment meaning pencils vs. carbon fiber?

...no. Graphite is a form of carbon where the carbon molecules form strong crystalline sheets that are bound together weakly in layers. "Quality of alignment" refers to how well aligned the sheets are on top of each other. It's all on a molecular level.

What I meant was, isn't the only difference in the final molecular structures of carbon fiber and graphite lattices the way the layers are bonded to one another, because a pure carbon lattice always has the same molecular pattern?

Carbon fiber is a woven material held together with resin...conceptually, the same thing as fiberglass except it uses fibrous carbon sheets instead of fibrous glass. The alignment of its weave is what determines its directional strength, which is entirely a macroscopic phenomenon.

Let me go off on another small tangent/question inspired by that video....why do american cars not have actual stand alone indicators? Why do the brake lights double up as indicators? Just legislation? or what's the reasoning? any ideas?

Amber turn signals is a european requirement, but not an american one. Hence why it's much more common for american cars to lack separate orange turn signals over their overseas competition.

I like it, because so many times the amber looks tacked on to a car and doesn't go well. A few cars pull off the amber, not many. I am OK with red or white lenses with amber bulbs though.

Yeah amber turn signals can be achieved with filters. My GTI's turn rear lights are all red and gray but have amber signals.

The reason I'm asking is 'cause of the Audi in that video. We have that exact car here(A4), and we (and Europe) have amber(seperate) turn signals. Why would they change it for the american market, if it isn't a requirement? It just seems really unnecessary. And yeah, I agree that having same colour turn signal and brake light(often combined in the same light) is an absolute fucktard idea.
