900 whp is always a decent number for a street car.

Yeah cuz 600rwhp is fine, but 900 will kill you...
Most dangerous people i see on the road are drunks and old people, and they are all wavering at 15mph below the speed limit

its the fact that 900whp is asinine for a street car.

I just looked through the entire thread and that guy does some incredible fab work. But like most build threads it's kinda a pain in the ass weeding through all the garbage "looks kick ass" and other bs posts. Thread length would probably be cut in half if every post that had badass in it was deleted.
I have to agree that 900 hp is too much for a DD. First of all it is uneconomical 2nd if it rains it would probably be almost impossible to get any traction (safety), and third I would see reliability being an issue with such a high hp engine.

I would like to drive that, in a straight line of course!

Haven't you heard of all those guys with the 800hp+ TT supras? They take them to the strip then drive them home.

if the rear wheels come within 30 feet of a puddle all traction is lost...and that's with a stock engine

I dont see where he built the internals, suparcharger kits are fine that see 600-650rwhp, but the TT kits are like 25 grand because you need to build the engine. I fear for reliability too.
As for traction, yeah in stock form it's pretty useless to try and do anything else. But in all honesty, with full MM, Griggs, or Agent 47 suspension they out handle most things on the track - including aftermarket C6 Z06's on Laguna Seca i've seen. Of course this is explosive (especially going SLA) but i see he already has coilovers and tubular A-arms - i doubt it'll be a slushy mess of a car.
