i'm like this car more and more..

UserDrew
Looks good lowered, it changes the body stance so it isn't as much of a turn off for me.

I think the Genesis, due to its styling, will be one of those cars that'll be difficult to modify right from an aesthetic standpoint. The wheels especially seem difficult to get right, most of the wheels shown here, don't suit the car at all.

I get the feeling the Genesis will be the new Ricer-mobile.

The gray color is quickly becoming my favorite of the OEM color choices, though the darker blue (which you don't have any pics of here) is also really enticing. In terms of wheels, I think it's funny that the best combo is the red one with the Nismo wheels tongue_orig.gif

I think this car is what the Altima Coupe should have been! It looks really great!
goota
lol the altima coupe could never be anything near what the genesis coupe is going to be. Im so fucking buying one of these cars when i get a real job.

Any idea if they are still gonna offer yellow? I liked that one a lot.
clarkma5
Yeap, Yellow is on the menu, along with a lime green and a light blue.

They've got full pricing details, color options, and so on for the build-your-own feature on their website: http://www.hyundaiusa.com/shoppingtools/by...Genesis%20Coupe

God that front end looks awful. sad.gif
Diesel
how about a bit of a boser hood and eyelids and more square headlights?

clarkma5
^^ That's certainly very interesting.

I'd agree that front-on, the front end is a little wonky, but at any sort of oblique angle I think it looks good. I mean, at least up the aesthetic standards set by the 350 and 370Zs and the G35/G37. It's not like there's very much in the way of really beautiful cars in the sub $40k price range anyway, ya know?

The yellow was only on the top of the line 3.8 Track model. Or maybe my browser is not loading all of the color choices?
clarkma5
No, color choices do depend on trim level, so your browser's working fine. It would appear that yellow is indeed only available on the 3.8 Track.

Reminds me of the Tiburon, which I despise, a little bit. The headlamps in diesels's pic remind me of a lambo's sharp head lights.

I've seen the car again today at the Toronto Autoshow, got to sit quickly in it and popped the hood. Looks like a great deal. I'm defenately getting one as soon as I can!
goota
diesel where did you get these pictures?

oh well.....my next used car....but it'll be hard to find one that is not beaten up....

I really like the looks of this car. The back end is really great, love the exhaust treatment. I especially like some of the tuned versions, with quad pipes.

The only thing I don't like about the car is how the beltline dips below the window behind the front doors. This coupe is huge, and it makes it look even larger. Same with the taillights, which seem to be blown up to 150%.
Diesel
still don't like the rear window. it could have looked soo much better.

Gray cars tend to be "less noticed" by the members of the local and state constabulary's traffic divisions.
For those of us who enjoy playnig "right foot and pedal symphony in speed major", it's a good thing.

Not to mention that grey shows off a car's lines nicely and hides dirt well. Overall, a nice metallic grey is probably my favorite car color ever.
