Wood screws?!?!

Thats why i do all my own work on my cars. I have had a dent in the r/r quarter panel of my car for 4 years now because i wont let a body shop touch it. Insurance paid me for it and evreything. The only time someone worked on my car besides myself, or my buddy Donald (this guy is like my brother) they fucked it up. Had my cats replaced under warranty, they reused the old gaskets and crossthreaded my o2 sensors, at the dealership!

That sucks, but I really don't understand how he could've paid & signed off on that work. You also don't collect a car at night from a bodyshop...hell the bodyshop I go to won't even give you the damned car at night.

Three words--better business bureau. I'd also consider small claims court to cover the cost of a good bodyshop to repair the bad work (I really don't think that the 350Z is actually ruined like he said).

There are a lot of idiots in the world. And the customer is also one of them for having gone along with this body shop for so long.

And to repair what was done to the car professionally, would be several thousand dollars. Good luck to him.

The car is not ruined. But the amount of labor and parts it would take to fix that stuff will be incredible. BBB is a good start, but even they cant do a whole lot because both sides will have to agree to the repairs. The body shop will want a chance to fix it, and that guy certainly is going to hand his car back over to them.

Mit, you should send him your number!! You could mix business and pleasure, law and cars!

if that happened to me there would definitely be some major problems headed towards that shop. first of all i would have NEVER paid them.

this is a perfect example of why i always do my own work on my cars.

Ummm.. This is the same shop where my friend painted my car at. oh and the lip kit too. My friend (the one who painted my car) used to share the shop with the owner and told me constantly of what a shitty job the other guy used to do. lol.. i'm not surprised.

Here i am prepping my kit at the same exact shop.

porsche944
is it just my skewed porsche price memory or does 780 kind of seem like a steal had this guy done what was promised?
Aircooled
That was some downright craftsmenship there...
