Full Version: Arnage Final Edition

I'm not really concerned with the Final Series, more concerned with the fact that this is in fact, the FINAL edition. While I think the Continental range is a more complete package overall, the Arnage has so much more character and elegance. A large part of it was down to the legendary 6.75 liter, which is celebrating it's 50th birthday this year. The other factor is probably the more classic, less bulbous lines. The Continental seems to be built to make a sale, while this is the real deal for Bentley.

So what's exclusive to the Final Edition? Well they're only building 150, and as far as dynamics go, Bentley claims it mixes the performance of the Arnage T with the refinement of the R. There's also a rear cocktail cabinet, a Final Series flask, two shot glasses, and four umbrellas. As expected, there's plenty of badging inside and out to remind you this is the Final Series.

I'll be sad to see this car go, but while the Azure and Brooklands are still around, and I'm sure there's a replacement in the pipeline.

I absolutely love the Arnage. If it were between a used Arnage and a new Continental, I'd go for the used Arnage. Its a proper Bentley, tons of character.

But I am happy to see it go... because I've considered getting a second hand one in the near future, and I want to see those prices hit rock bottom biggrin.gif

Classy choice. I have a friend who paid a little over $50k for a 2001 Red Label about a year ago.

I, for one, won't miss it.

Me neither, the arnage never appealed to me. The Brooklands does a better job of carrying on the spirit of old-school Bentleys while the Continental (particularly the Speed models) are showing the way for Bentley in the 21st century.

I'd assume that a car that costs nearly a half-million dollars would be profoundly refined and luxurious. From what I've heard, the Arnage has a remarkable amount of turbo lag, and I read at least one review where the glove compartment popped open whenever they drove over a bump. Turbo lag is forgivable in a bug-eyed WRX, not a $400,000 sedan (or whatever the Arnage costs). The glove compartment that refuses to stay shut...that'd be embarrassing in a Kia Rio, not to mention something you use to impress billionaires.

This is the Bentley sedan for me (not that any Bentley sedan is really "for me"):

Fuck Bentley sedans, gimme a Brooklands.

Ugh... the Continentals are so new money if you ask me. Ever been to the Vegas suburbs? Its disgusting how many soccer moms are carting kids to and from private school in Continentals... leased ones at that. Its Arnage or nothing...of course the Brooklands is awesome if you can find one.

^ Or the Azure. Honestly, the Continentals are everywhere in Dubai. The Azure, Brooklands, Continental T, and Arnage are actually very rare.

Good umbrellas or not, two things. A) You wouldn't normally need 4 umbrellas or cool.gif If 4 people had the same umbrella they would look ridiculous. The Bentley itself? Meh.
