Its finally cooling down here enough overnight and during the day to open the windows and turn of the A/C in the house. Since i have the windows open now, some new bird has taken residence in a tree in my front yard. It feels the need to start doing its calls at 12 am and later! WTF. Its not an owl, Its got a call like a parrot (it imitates multiple other birds) I cant describe what it looks like because its too fuking dark! This is the most ridiculous thing.

No BB gun, man. Call your local wildlife authority, whoever they are. They'll help you out.

You act like they will just drop everything, and come out at 12am.

I'm not expecting thyem to shoot to his house at 1 AM, but if you phone them during their office hours, I'm sure they have some sort of unit, that can and will help at night. If you've ever met these people(Wildlife Authorities of any kind), they kove animals, and animal rescue comes first. And it might not be considered rescue to them unless reds1bird says he will take care of the problem himself.
But whatever man, all I'm saying is don't kill the fuckin thing.

Also, if you can figure out what kind of bird it it, you can make them uncomfortable really easily.
I cant remember exactly what kind of bird it is, maybe crows, but they will not come around owls, so people round these parts put wooden owls in their gardens to scare away the crows.
Killing something is not always the only solution.
There also might be a non profit to call...round these parts there is a not for profit animal shelter which specializes in making these types of interventions. they will catch the animal and move it to a more suitable habitat.

I dont have the heart to kill it. Shit, even if i wanted to, its so dark i couldnt even see the little fucker. I would have to get a kajillion candlepower spotlight just to find him.
I dont hate birds, its just that hes so damn loud! Ill have to make a video of the little bastard and put it up on you tube.

At our old house there was a woodpecker that went mental. He would peck at our next door neighbor's metal gutters. It almost sounded like a fire bell. Although it happened infrequently enough that it was more humorous than irritating.
