"A typhoon of rumors has been swirling around Honda's headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, about the company's next generation of sports cars. While we have already seen spy photos of the future NSX, we have not seen anything about the next-generation S2000. A source close to the company revealed that Honda is indeed in the process of building such a car, but wouldn't disclose specific details."

I hope they don't destroy the legacy of the S2000 by making this a fat cruiser for doctors and old people.

Not all that bad if you ask me. It does look like it stems from the NSX concept. Very cool.

That render reminds me of the Maserati GranTurismo.

I don't like the name, 3000. 2000 was good, credible, but as soon as you go to 3000 it sounds weird to me.
OHirtenfelder
If they had originally called it the Honda S4400 or anything else for that matter, we would have accepted it, and if they had then changed it to S2000, we would have said the same thing...sounds funny....

Oh, please can the steering wheel move so I can get in the damn car? I always hit my knees when I steer. But at least it will look pretty.

The TSX got dramatically less sporty with the current generation.
The Accord got less driver-oriented with the current generation.
The NSX has switched from a mid-engined RWD sports coupe to a front-engined, V10, AWD grand-tourer.

I bet I know what direction Honda's roadster is going...and it's called the SLK.

If that happens, the president of Honda is going to get a swift kick in the nuts from me.

I guess we'll have to wait 992 years for this canadian.gif
