not sure if i believe those vir times... it's a very high-speed track and i feel like the evo would have an advantage on the straights.

Actually, the Cobalt SS Turbo should dust the EVO in a straight line, given the better power-to-weight ratio. It's on a twisty track where the heavy-but-AWD Mitsubishi should dominate.

...and yet, when you have different drivers for different cars, people complain that there's too many variables for a fair comparison wink.gif

I am sure with a competent and experienced driver it can be done. Thats why i asked who was the driver. wink.gif

I think it's safe to say that the Cobalt SS Turbo is much like the Corvette. Its greatest strength is that it performs like a car twice its price, and its greatest weakness is an interior reminiscent of a car half its price.

I think the Cobalt interior is perfectly adequate for its price point. Sure it's no Golf, but it's hardly much worse than a Mazda3's.

Well it doesn't seem like racing drivers...just the journalists.

I wonder if the Middle East market Mazda3 has a cheaper interior than the North American market? I know your model (the 1.6?) has been decontented compared to the 2.0 and 2.3 we've got here. I only say this because I've been in Cobalts (rentals) and a Mazda3 2.3, and I thought that the Mazda's interior was head-and-shoulders above the Cobalt.

That said, the Cobalt's wasn't THAT bad. I honestly think it's better than the Pontiac G6, which is surprising considering that it's a cheaper car from the same company.

I'll take a pic of my interior and post it when I'm not drunk, and there's actually some light outside (it's 3AM here). Then I guess you can compare it the best you can to the US-spec Mazda3s.

Posting while drunk FTW!
