I'm sorry I couldn't find bigger pictures. I have always been a fan of the Audi RS2 Avant, and was looking around yesterday, and found out that they also made a Coupe version. It seems that the Coupe was just overshadowed by the Avant. But my f-ing god, is this car hot. I have a new favourite car, and this is it. Here it is in all its oh-so-fucking-fantastic-glory:

moethepaki
^ That is indeed, very sexy (the silver one at least). Keep in mind, they handled like someone had put lead weights in their front bumpers though...solid and stylish as any Audi ever was though.
OHirtenfelder
Honestly Moe, I would not care. I would not ever need to take this car past 60km/h. Just cruising in it would be great. It is oh so pretty and sexy.

Why not just plump for the non-S2 Coupe then? You still get the same looks, no need for the extra performance. Also, I don't think there was an RS2 version of the coupe, only an "S2." Hence the wagon getting all the attention. I could be wrong, in which case I'll be corrected by all our resident VAG-whores.

EDIT: Yup, I was wrong. There is an RS2 coupe.
EDIT 2: They built one...but only ONE.

In related news...I've been thinking about this a lot lately...

^Haha, and so the VAG-whores come out to play. Both cars, I must say, are very sexy.
moethepaki
I'm not a VAG-whore. Just read a quite favorable review on the RS6, and how the sedan defers considerably from the wagon.

Anyway, for today...

The ultimate goal...

And what I plan to own along the way...

Audi RS4

Was just kidding. Yeah, that RS6 is an absolute beast. I read the TopGear 'Supercar shootout', and they said that no other car produced such efforless power as the RS6(and they compared it to X-Bow, GT-R, GT2).
350Z is just absolute power IMO. I love that car.

As for the RS4, I think one doesn't need to say much more than RS4. That Pontiac G8 is a fantastic car. We have one here at the office. It is badged Chevrolet, but same car, and it's great!

I must agree. I'm a huge fan of the Supra, and see it as one of the few truly great (read sporty) cars that Toyota has brought out along with the Celica GT4 and the MR2 (Mk2 especially). The thing is that most people that mod them put on the most ridiculous kits and 'aero packages', etc. and it completely ruins the lines. This ^ kit looks like someone stuck an air hose into a Supra and just inflated the car a little. Really nicely. It looks fantastic. The exhaust is a bit much, but I guess it is a pretty crazy car. It does need the stock spoiler on the back though...

Here are some specs on the car, the flares are off of a 350Z lol, I LOVE wingless supras

Jaguar XF. I've been seeing more and more around lately, and I love it. I saw one in Emerald Fire Green today (or was it Botanical Green...the website doesn't really help), and it was stunning.

I also saw a red Cayenne GTS, yellow Maserati GT, and a white C63 AMG at a stop light together...it was like an orchestra...

959 = Sex

Since Diesel brought it up in a post, I think this is a picture of a 959 kit...

I have also been pining over one of these...

when ever I see one I want to be driving it, and I stare. Very similar to the way I got before I bought the Impreza. If it came with a stick and a more efficient engine it would be a no-brainer. Maybe once the 914 dream is realized, and I can have my driving fun in that we'll consolidate my DD and the wife's DD into this.

Edit, I would also accept an Audi Allroad...There is just something about these wagons that I find really appealing. Oddly enough the Subaru Outback doesn't do it for me like these two do.
moethepaki
^ The Volvo's a damn good-looking car. It just is. The Allroad and Outback are less successful IMO.

Also, I've still got the XF floating around in my head. Ideally, I'd like it to be my next car. I want something smooth, refined, and stylish. I also want a torquey motor, and yes...a slushbox. Of course, the car should still be a keen drive...I think the XF is just perfect, and I really just want to enjoy a luxury car for a while.

The second picture you have there looks to be the Alpina version, and those are extremely rare. I've been fortunate enough to drive an 8-series, and they are great cars, some of my personal favorites in fact. I drove the 840ci, and I loved it. Don't let the looks fool you though, it's no performance car. It's very much a GT. I also happen to think they're some of the most beautiful cars on the road. I plan to buy one as soon as I can afford to maintain one...

It is indeed the Alpina. The whole 8 series lineup makes me drool. I think that it will be my first entry into the premium market.

My friend's dad had an 850i (as far as I can recall) and he sold the thing, because "It has too much power". What an idiot!

After they sold the "too powerful" 8 Series BMW they bought a "too powerless" Toyota Prius? laugh.gif

IMHO the 8 Series is absolutely timeless. A beautiful coupé. But more a car for older drivers. cool.gif

The Gaz 14
Bjorn
I know performance wise it was a bit of a joke, and the interior was pretty poor, what with the gauges sitting on top of the center console, but the BMW Z8 is one of the most beautiful cars in existence IMO.

moethepaki
400hp M5 V8...a joke performance-wise? I think not. It was the subjective stuff that let this car down. On paper, it should've been one of the greatest roadsters ever built, but somehow it just didn't feel special to drive (lack of steering feel, etc). I've heard the Alpina version remedied that though.

I remember sitting in a black one with red leather...wow...it was gorgeous inside and out. The best part is even in the exotic crazy UAE, they're still a rarity. It's kind of like 8C Competizione then, trash dynamically, but so exclusive and so achingly beautiful that you could forgive it for murder.
Bjorn
^Sorry, I was referring to the handling, not the straight-line performance....mmm BMW M5 sourced V8!

I guess if smaller engine, softer ride, and an automatic is your thing. I can't speak for how it drove, but it doesn't sound great.
moethepaki
^ I actually had no idea. I just looked all that up. All I remember reading was that the Alpina was less compromised (better ride, more usable everyday, etc)...however, in the process it looks like Alpina compromised the car's character.
OHirtenfelder
While we're on the subject of old BMWs, here are two of the most badass, would be better and cooler to drive than most modern BMWs, old BMWs.

BMW 2002 Turbo. What an absolute stunner. Looks great, goes like stink. Bloody awesome.

The 3.0 CSl Motorsport version, 'Batmobile'. I'd give my left, or right, nut for this car. Just wow!
clarkma5
I do love the Z8...the Z8 is the earliest memory of going online and looking at car sites and just going "wow". I saw it, I thought it was gorgeous, I was astonished that a car could cost that much (at that age I couldn't comprehend a car with a 6 figure price tag). And when I see it now, I still think it's gorgeous, and despite the fact that I'm well aware that it's a very flawed car I still think it's really cool. It's got character, it's got looks, it's got rarity without much of the snob factor (ironic for a BMW to not be snobby, but the way I see it at that price point the BMW badge is downmarket and the car has to stand on its own merits more than the badge or the heritage).

Going with the BMW theme (a more recent one)...the E46 M3 CSL

OHirtenfelder
^That is a real beauty. I have always HATED M3s. Not because of the car, but because of the people that drive them. It not like an "oh, theres an M3, the driver might be a dick"... when you see an M3, you know that the driver is an absolute cockface. full stop. But it seems now, that the new M3 is out, the guys driving these E46s arent as hardcore anymore. They seem to have been tamed down.
I must say that driving M3s now for the mag, I have a newfound respect for the car, as they really are ultimate fun.
Also, now that the new one is out, this old one is selling at great prices. I have seen these (CSL) advertised for around $35 000 (converted), and they are relatively low mileage. Dead sexy, that CSL.
There is a drifitng crew here in SA, called MonsterMob, and they have a CSL converted into a drift car. The guy was drifting it at a recent event, and blew the engine, due to not having enough 'sideways' airflow. Plus he stripped the thing and replaced all the panels will fibre glass shit. How sick is that. Could the idiot not have used a normal M3, why the CSL. This is what he's made it look like

Those are just two of the incarnations the car has seen. Sorry the pics are so small, I couldnt find bigger ones.
I dont like. Oh well, it was a cool car.
moethepaki
You know what I don't like? *flamesuit on* the BMW "Batmobile." I'm sure it's a great car and all, but it's absolutely disgusting to look at.

Also, while we're on the topic of BMWs,

BMW 507...without which, there'd be no Z8. One of the most beautiful cars ever made, without doubt.
OHirtenfelder
Batmobile, disgusting? Come on!
Wow, I didn't even know this 507 existed. Absolute stunner. Nice one Moe!
moethepaki

^ I'd forgotten about it for a while, but I'm still a pretty big fan.

Heh. I'm brown, what do you expect?

OHirtenfelder
C30 is very pretty is so different to many of its generic looking competitors. It looks absolutely tits in the optional sport kit. I just love that mahoosive shoulder line. And that's a pretty awesome photo as well.

It's the previous generation North American market Honda Accord sedan rolleyes.gif
moethepaki
It's an '04 Honda Accord. I'm very seriously contemplating selling my Mazda and buying my dad's Accord. There are a bunch of reasons for that, but I don't really feel like explaining.

As for the brown comment, well Accords and Camrys are pretty much the only car you see Desis (people from the Subcontinent) drive around in. The last time I bought a new car, my best friend mockingly asked, "Is it an Accord or a Camry?"

EDIT: Clarkma beat me to it, but it isn't just North American market. The Middle East, China, India, and a few more markets besides got the same car.
