Driving home from the movies, I got a huge craving for Subway of all places, so the better half and I pull in, and what do I find? But a guy parked across the grass in his truck, trying to start it, and lurching the truck forward almost into a retaining wall. Finally turning it off, and falling out the drivers door, and trying to tell me, over the slurred speech and general drunkness, that it was just his hip that hurt.

Whacky.

In downtown San Jose (my hometown) on the weekend before Cinco De Mayo (big party weekend), some friends and I went to the bars. We walked out and I damn near got hit by a girl in an SUV who clipped two parked cars and then slammed into the curb, destroying her front suspension, shredding her right front tire, and leaving steam billowing out of her engine. She stumbled out of the driver's seat and started walking away from the car as if nothing happened. A cop swooped down on her and grabbed her by the arm and led her to a police car. It was pitiful/brilliant.

Last year's Christmas I saw a drunk man that I can hardly forget. My cousin parked his Hilux next to his Cefiro, and then the driver (drunk) walked out of the Cefiro and pissed on his own car.

Last year, a car occupied by 3 drunk teenagers ramped off of my driveway and flew through my front doorway, taking out the sewage main and ending up in the dining room as a result. Talk about drunk, I woke up at 4 in the morning with 3 drunk kids and a car (turned out it was stolen) in my house!
